Past Fire Department News for June:
The fire dept. is looking to buy a new fire engine to
replace the LaFrance.
The New Alex Fire Department are also starting a Jr.
Firemen program. They are taking Associate firemen (firemen that belong to another
fire department, that when they are in the area, they can go on calls.)

(vehicle accidents and ambulance assists are up do to to
the highway construction.)
The fire department took in two more probationary members
and their first junior member.
They are running a Las Vegas Night on September 8th at 8PM
to 12AM

The New Alexandria yard sale is being held on July
14, with a rain date of July 21st.

There are some of the firemen who have just completed training in air
mask and search and rescue.

Review, written by Maryann Gogniat Eidemiller about West. County Commissioner P. Scott
Connor who wants to offer potential firefighters free tuition to WCCC as a bonus for their
